The ORS Senior Staff Training Manual.

Hello and Welcome to the ORS Senior Staff Training Manual.

Please take your time to familiarize yourself with the work and ideas represented here. We in ORS also wish to extend this training to any ORS child league's senior staff.

Please read the Terms and Conditions before continuing. This manual is for ORS/ORS child only, by continuing reading you agree to the terms and conditions.

The Manual
--------------

Senior Ranks :

League Boss (leader)
First Officer
Tactical Officer

League Boss:

First and foremost you should learn how morale impacts your small community, you by even the nature of the league system are the linchpin of your community. how you behave is watched by all, and often imitated. Acting in good character inspires others to to do the same. Don't be afraid to take charge of a situation, and never let another in the league take control of your actions, conversely always listen to their desires. This can be be achieved in a polite way. If an officer thinks he/she is alpha 'dog' no need to beat him down verbally about it, simply state that you were only looking for suggestions; not commands.

Be kind, when you can be kind; be harsh when a rule is fluanted.

Dressing Down

Dressing down from a league boss is a little bit more serious than from the other staff, remember you are not trying to satisfy your own ego, you are trying to instruct them to learn and grow. It is not about your power over a person, but what value you can bring to that person in the form of tutelage and inspiration, We want to enable them to correct their actions, not feel bad for offending you.

Politics

This job comes with advanced and weighty politics; as you are responsible for keeping even the staffs morale high. Without your attendance, the staff see no reason to return and continue doing the work you trained them for, why should they? you did not even bother to show up!When people leave remember to keep an eye on them via wavedox. they may wish to seek harm upon ORS because they were removed. Keep an eye on other league staff, not in a bad way, these might be valuable allies and you too can afford them aid.

Be friends with other league bosses. other league staff, you might think because someone is in a solo- league they lack importance, but that thinking is short sighted, meeting and naturally making friends with even a solo-league boss, can boost both your morales. But also you should not dismiss the chance that his solo-league maybe become popular and so he becomes an important ally.

The staff often get a jolt of morale when you tell them you are friends with other league bosses and staff, don't overplay your hand, once a month to put it in the conversation is enough.

Removal of Members and Staff.

This is your job. If members do not value and contribute to ORS/ ORS child league; they must be removed. You, as league boss can grant 'grace of leave' this is an agreement between yourself and a member. If a member then breaks that agreement, they *must* be removed for the sake of morale, but more importantly the sake of staff morale, the staff morale of which; makes running the league possible.

Recruitment

Finding the correct balance between your own personal recruiting, and the staffs is often a talent, mostly is depends on the morale of the Officers while they were being trained, and if you showed great confidence in recruiting while training them. Much of this is the First Officers job, however you should note your influence with the staff in respects to recruitment.

Note to the Child League's Boss

Never use the system of co-leaders, your league will be ripped apart, you will never garner respect from your staff and you will end up a casual league. It is like handing your panties to someone you just met. never do it. having three senior staff works for many reasons that I hope you will glimpse within this Training Manual.

You will find it difficult to not be the role you were as an officer. Be it general staff or head of dept.
This is fine while you are learning being a league boss for the first time, and you may grow and be unable to change that. This is all fine, but you do need a First Officer that will counter and balance but also provide unity.

First Officer

The First Officer's job is to be the unifying force of the league, to rally everyone behind the Boss.

A second voice of thought to actions about to be taken.
Be able to discuss the morale of the league and be able to give suggestion on improvement.

The First Officer should be an outstanding recruiter; this is not always so, but when choosing an Officer to replace a FO, this quality is of huge advantage,

Politics

the FO's handling of politics is much like the league bosses, so please read above.I have never had senior staff remove members for bad behavior, as I have always done this, however I expect them to be able to do so. Especially the politics of ORS for an FO it is vital.

Another job of the FO is to check on the staffs morale, they may wish to open up to the FO before they perhaps embarrass themselves before their Boss.

Tactical Officer

The TO's job is to plan the future of the league, how to expand and grow the league, but also, to be the third voice within the senior staff, should a disagreement come between the Boss and FO.

Being TO is the easiest of the three jobs. Things like planning events and organising members to do tasks for feats or other things.

Shifts

Determine between all three senior staff what times are convenient for each senior staff members to take. agree between the three of you. there should one member of senior staff online at all times (or as close as possible).

Each Senior Staff 'on shift' is responsible for :

1. helping members and staff, before doing their own content.
2. keeping an eye on the attendance of  members and staff.
3. maintain the ideals of ORS at all times.
4. upholding morale of the league as a whole.
5. instructing members and staff on the correct way things are to be done, however with this caveat; you should be polite at all times.

We hope the Senior Staff Training Manual has been instructive.

There is no test, real life is the test as you are now dealing with real people with a real psychology.

Good luck!

1. you will state where you received this training and by whom (myself; SigmaAtom). while you are training or practising, at least once to other staff in your league.
2.You will aid me should I need your assistance if one of you leaguemates becomes troublesome to myself or ORS.
3. If it be that, these training techniques are generally practised and shared within your leagues staff, that they are popular, you agree that you will contact me in game to discuss your league becoming a child league of ORS.

Lazy players AKA 'skating'

Hi guys

So.. im not going to point any fingers, but the rumors seem to be true* . needed to get that out.

So over the last month or so.. skating on EU server been between average (after server merge) to bad.

example:

During Mist Recovery, we had this healer stand on the top of a building.the remaining three of us fighting and dying*. So i switched to troller and went over to him.

i said 'hi man you coming?'
he replied 'eat'
me: huh?..no dude we need you.
him: I help later for boss battle.

Then another group member came up to him understandable miffed.
and said '?????'
and I said ' no you won't. we will kick you.'

And kick him we did.

This *keeps* happening.and the weird thing is, you can't kick them for a few minutes, for some reason. prolly to protect everyone from auto/nasty kicking.

I mean.. if an acquaintance PM's me and we make a deal that they will pay me for the work. OK. then its been agreed. OR if you have a leaguemate on a league run, and it's agreed by the staff that they should skate. then OK. but random strangers standing at the start expecting everyone else to do the work. AND NOT GET KICKED?. no way.

First day of the merge. I put together a CC reaper raid team.

6 PS players
2 PC players.

The PS players hid in places; trying to not do the reaper farming. hoping the others would do the work. so i started kicking them for just standing around. until it was only me and the other PC guy.

Shocking behavior!

there are many good PS players. but the sheer chunk of ultra lazy ones is an embarrassment to you all.

Sigma

*We had zero skating on PC server before the merge. period.
*I was leveling a lower alt.

The Glimmering Aura Syndrome..

Hi guys

Now.. I bought a few booster bundles, I usually buy 4 or 5 each release, couple of my main few for each alt*. I gotta say the Glimmerings were BAD.. and the Solar looked so cool! THIS IS NOT how to do it..one awful aura vs one excellent.

I rem in the older boosters you would get one of two auras, they would be 60/40. One would be better, but both almost equally good.

Going by the price on broker..its not 60/40.. the price for a glimmering last i checked was 150k..the lowest cost aura.. all the vanilla ones were 300k +. The Solar last I checked.. was 12 million, which means the Solar was 80 times more expensive than the Glimmering..

To put that in percentages:

The Market determined that the Solar was 98.75 and the Glimmering was 1.25 good.

See my maths and work below.

An aura that is 1.25% good.. is not good.

I don't know if the cash thing and style bait worked for daybreak financially but..i didn't like the tactic.

Dust Aura

I'd like to see the next aura be the Pollen Aura in all colours.. as the secondary aura a '40'. I just really like that aura. With a new aura being the 60, And a reworked Firefly aura..given away with the bundle on top (you get two auras). The aura itself.. isn't good and isn't bad.. but one thing really irks me.. that is disappears when you move*. I'd like to see the outside colours be.. pretty much any colours with the centre being black or white. For it to move around you like stars/black holes orbiting you. Flip.. our economy hit some sharp problems for a while there. This should be free in the bundle guaranteed.. to say sorry for all the 1.25%-ness if the last debacle.

The material thing is a great concept. And.. strangely enough.. I support DB in making that the style bait for boxes..but .. the glimmering was a slap in the face at a time where not only did I not get a Solar after 5 or so boxes, I got 3 pink glimmering in a row. no.. if that had been 60/40 I woulda been happy.. but with the glimmering I felt ROBBED. .. one of my officers was showing me his glimmering.. he asked 'do you see it'.. I replied 'see what?'.. he said' that's what I saying you can't even see the stupid thing while i'm wearing it'.

Next time.. I gotta pay more attention while I'm watching their twitch livestream.. I was all excited too busy thinking about a Water Power announcement.

needed that out!.. still bothering me tho.

have a great day!

*(i have lots more alts these days though)

12 mil divided by 150k = 80
100% aka: 100 divided by 1.25 = 80
100 - 1.25 = 98.75.

* I really should ask on the forums if that's a by design or a glitch. if it's a glitch it needs fixed.

A Scrub's Guide to Skill Point Respect..

Hi guys

This has been rattling around in my head for a while.. think it's time to let it out.

As you probably know Wavedox has a ranking system for leagues, the skill point quota of which is 150. I'll use that as a guide.. and they got it correct; 150sp lets you get a WM and get down to all those lovely criticals.

The following is NOT a critique of players without said skill points.. but a mix of the communities understanding (aka calling someone a scrub).. and my own thoughts.

So let's begin!

Peasant                              = double or greater the CR of their SP.
Honorary Citizen             = matched or greater SP than CR.
Citizen                                = 150 SP or greater.
Made Man                         = 200 SP or greater
Noble                                  = 220 SP or greater.
Aspirant Scion                  = 250 SP or greater.
Scion of the Twin Cities  = 270 SP or greater.

This has been particularly pertinent to me, as I strive for my Dec 2016 goal of 200sp. I had a busted shoulder for 2 months and could barely move..only logging in to do the easiest of things and show face for league morale. As I write I am on 194 sp. not too bad. Still lots more to go! :)

Players sometimes criticize other players for low SP.. I try to teach staff to be a little understanding.. becuase maybe they don't have any league staff to teach and help them. But when a ..peasant..starts griefing in an instance and boasting.. you gotta think what on earth is going on here. That's a reference to a story one of my officers told me..a player started griefing on him in an instance, the player also stated he had much SP.. my officer checked wavedox.. he was lying! he had around 50SP and was at end game! o.o .. now idk what you think.. but i think that was cheeky. griefing is an awful thing anyways..intolerable; drama driving egomania! ..but to add the above.. was.. well.. in private we found it kind of funny. but it's still cheeky.

Well there's my thoughts.. no use in drawing it out into drivel.

have a great and bizarre day!

ORS Blog 2

Ahoyhoy

So.. I got my Muni char to 30 today, was feeling pretty sick, so I didn't do my usual and experiment with the loadouts until I found whatever everyone else was using already hehe.. I used a Youtuber
Big D's loadout, and changed his Chain Grenade Launcher to Five Barrel Minigun, Which I found better damage & clipping.

I'm left with an RP milieu though, I don't really like guns. IRL I hate them..good in a zombie apocalypse, bad in real life. I made my char have an RP of a Fallout style to compensate, however the RP factor has lost grip for me. The only thing I can daydream about it is.. getting Fallout-like deco for his base.

I will get him to T7; like I have been doing with the rest of my chars, during league quiet time, but he might just stay there for a while.

In other matters.. the league has been going great, and as we return from holiday, its good to see staff back at their posts. I personally, found this sight very rewarding.

Ione has been doing a great job as our new Tactical Officer (TO) and it'll be good when Risky makes our PVP team. Looking forward to that.

Members are members..content to play and be helped.

The summer seasonal is on just now and ends on the 27th iirc of this month (July), I need to push hard for the feats.. with my shoulder being out for almost two months I slipped behind in my feats and haven't hit my target of 200 SP by summer, that I set in Dec. iirc I was 120 130?.. hmm I have loads of styles that just need one correct drop, but only *some* joy on that front.

I am glad to report my luck has *somehow* been fixed .. after 6 months of almost solid greens that I already owned, last month .. BAM!.. fixed. so relieved.. pheww I had been used to getting a few blues a day 1 or 2 purple and i reg used to get auras from lockboxes..fyi 6 months ago
that stopped. dead.

.. I am so glad its fixed now.

The new content came out.. Batman-fam and Legends of Tom storylines .. really good stories, fun content!

I think thats it.. thanks for reading :)

Bulletin Points on Training an Officer (of ORS) ..

Hi..

I'll make this public, so it benefits everyone. but here are the bulletin points on officer training, even just so I remember:

  • Never lose your cool.
  • Never dress down  a member down in public.
  • Teach them loot etiquette: PFC is very common with most leagues, and is also in ORS. Pass For Class. Members should PFC but also; they should pass on deco IF being helped by a higher cr; staff should always pass on gear unless they clear it with member first (for styles). a piece of random gear that will help the member increase their cr, should always go to the member.
  • Morale is the oxygen of a league; recruiting is the lifeblood; we are a family.
  • Drama is the cancer of MMOs; griefing destroys players and so destroys communities.Drama spreads like an infection through griefing. It should never be tolerated or allowed to exist.
  • I don't work hard being a league boss, for an officer to go around swearing, only for that to result in the members swearing at me. being cheeky to me. also it's embarrassing for me as a league boss; like they had no training = scrub.
  • Don't swear. as an officer it the easiest way to garner respect from members. and as everyone in ORS knows by the induction. no swearing. period.
  • Try at all times to be understanding of other people's perspectives, it may be a simple mis-understanding of words or intents between you.
  • Always ask in league chat if anyone needs help. best to do it when you log-on or when members log.
  • Pass lead of group to Senior staff if suitable; first chance you get.
  • At every opportunity; meaning when free; move to the staff voice channel.
  • Help the community at large, you don't have to do 2-6 hours donkey work for them, their league staff's job is to help them, however; doing one *maybe* two missions with a community member is good for community morale. little each day in the Karma bank :)
  • Don't be *too* quick to be angry with a 'bad player' .. it might be that they have no league staff contact or they are in a dead league. Feel sympathy empathy or pity for them; they probably didn't do anything wrong outside of the instance, simply they do not have the good fortune of an availed dedicated ORS staff, which we do.
  • You are not 'LEET' you are player.. just like any other. I even teach at times the senior staff are just officers.. I was a Drill Sgt. I still am in my heart. From the lowest to the highest, we are all players. respect is earned by actions and courtesy is the currency of civilization.

The Induction:

Every part of the induction has a story behind it.. and here is it.

We are a friendly dedicated league, we like polite regular players, we don't like swearing or rudeness, we only like main chars and not other leaguers. we help each other and help the community at large.

When I joined KS, that was the first thing I noticed; everyone was friendly, we continue that today.

We are a dedicated staff; I rem when I was in a friends league when I returned after my 2 year break (Dec 2014), I was the *only* staff online.. not just that, days would pass without any staff online to help (even weeks). That friend (we'll call him S) S has since learned the value of dedication. We expect the same dedication from our members, perhaps not to the same extent, but if you do not care to play with us or bring *something* to our league; then we extend the same to you. You will be removed.

I reiterate these sentiments again, as they are important, and the player *may* not have caught it the first read. 'Polite' is a protective word.. it protects the members, but more importantly it protects the staff; who's dedication makes running the league possible. 'Regular' means they make a commitment to return and to keep returning.

The no swearing rule.. here's a story o.o

During my time as Drill Sgt. in KS.. we had this young german guy..he was 10 levels below me but still thought it funny to be constantly cheeky to me.. even swearing at me frequently. I was trying to emulate my mentor L, and said nothing about this to the german guy.. he must'a been 15 yo. he was level 15 coincidentally.. well one day I logged on and he's asking in league chat for help, which was my duty, I pm M and tell her 'I got it'. We group and he's got a friend (non leaguer) who he want us to level also.. he is laughing and showing off to his friend, mixing german and english.. after 20-30 mins of helping*..  Well.. I exploded. and said a few things.. I was a Drill.Sgt and could see all his mistakes.. I told him them.. and a lot more! He was shocked..

I went out of group and calmed down. he pm'd me I could tell he was crying in real life coz i did it in front of his friend. I was still mad so I didn't reply. after an hour I calmed down.. I suddenly felt horrible! .. I had let M & L down! they entrusted me with a member and I had betrayed that trust! :O

I didn't care too much about the obnoxious german teen; but I had been put in a position of trust by M & L and abused that by exploding.

I resolved to never do this again. and why it's part of the rules of ORS.* and if you're ORS staff reading this it's why it's part of your Officer training : to never lose your cool.

'We like main chars and not other leaguers'

I always feel I need to explain this bit, we don't mind other leaguers, just they are not allowed in ORS.

Offt.. I had planned to tell this story in the history of ORS, but you'll get a portion of it just now.

So we had this cr/ high SP guy join.. we'll call him T.. T had been playing with us off and on for around 5 days by the weekend he wanted to join.. well T had many many alts. all high SP and high CR.. we would be playing and need a role and he'd say 'wait ill just jump on an alt!'.. everytime he did this.. the staff would see his other league banner.. and I could *feel* the sigh of sadness within the staff morale. ..after a few days he was cheeky and griefed on me in duo.. but that stories still to come in the history of ORS.

It's just not good enough.. if staff are willing to spend 100 to 1000 hours helping, you should have the courtesy to remain loyal to ORS.

It's right there in the induction: if you don't like it; do. not. join.

We help each other (M) and help the community at large (L).

ORS was founded by Alden and I on the principles M & L taught us in KS. We try to live up to those today.. well.. Alden has retired from the game, but you get what I mean :)

Each league boss is the captain of their ship.. and each league boss runs their ship how they see fit. this is great! means there is a league for everyone! Some might find it odd that we ask adults not to swear; but we are upfront about the rules and ideals in the induction. if they do not like it, simply say 'no' when asked if you agree, and no invite to league will be sent.

We also have an age requirement of 18+.. we are a PC league in years, and as you may know the EUPC server had many many adults not many under 18's. we liked this. I and the rest of the staff, should not have to deal with any hormone infused teen drama. that's unacceptable.

Quick story..

So I was leveling one of my low alts last week.. and some guy in Gotham shout kept asking for help. I pm'd him saying I would switch and help. I did so. he managed to inv me to group after a pm. he had already ninja invited another high CR player (who I had been acquainted with in a duo that morning on another alt). i told the other high cr, that I would get this.

We went to ace chemicals, the guy we'll call R.. R had just hit 30 and was trying to do the alert solo. half way through I became curious about recruiting, as he was a non leaguer, I knew if i told him this and about ORS's age requirements he'd just lie and say he was 18 just for the help.. so I asked him 'what age are you.. whats your story R?'.. he replied '12.. england'.. well I dunno what to say to 12yo that i'm not related to.. so i said 'school hols eh?' .. I had *no idea*. then he replied 'dean trust'.. at first I thought it was his real name so I said 'no no R's fine.. don't tell me your real name' .. then he suddenly logged. it was a typo!it was 'don't trust'. flip.. what are 12yo doing in this game!! its bad enough we have teens. DB *really* should make it '18+' only if they don't already. I don't care about profits i don't want any stranger danger for helping low levels o.o

I was half way through ace chems too! but luckily enough I popped a treasure chest and it gave me something I needed... oh! and I got my *first* kick me epic back sold that on broker for 1 mil. nice!

Well I think thats everything..

in ORS, we staff spend perhaps thousands of hours helping people we just met.
We shouldn't have cheek for all the hard work we put in .. work done to benefit the community. work we do FOR FREE. cheeky behaviour is unacceptable.

Hope anyone and myself in the future enjoyed reading!

have a great and bizarre day!

Sigma

In ORS we try to protect our investment of 1. work spent. 2 community 3. morale.
The induction is set to do those things.

*(att he was talking to me like i was a dog.. a stupid dog.. with chat like 'why are you being nice to him? he HAS to help us he doesn't have a choice haha' and 'stupid englander' .. am Scottish!!)
*.. not to mention it was no-no in KS league chat.but it really has nothing to do with that. it was coz of the above story. I didn't repeat the swearing portion.

Discussing a Lantern Healer..

I have a few posts from the DCUO Forums I would like to expand on but can't edit.
so..

Here is the idea :

"I don't see why an Orange lantern would give out healing to anyone. but wadda i know? Indigo Tribe IS neutral as we seen in the WOL.. it is a DCUO world event.. part of the DCUO story of our lanterns. ref: when you have to fight Black Lantern Hal alongside Munk. earlier on that mission, he is surrounded by all the different lanterns.

umm.. making a healer lantern class.. then changing the ring color to suit.. it still my preference. coz they'll be alot of dudes..inc myself, who don't want to be a pink male lantern. .. make a ring colour slider, with gradiated colours, excluding the ones not allowed; black and white.

Hero:
Blue to Purple to Pink gradiated.
Villain:
Orange to Pink to Purple gradiated.

OR

Villain : Purple to Pink

and they do a separate Orange Troller or Tank class later.

Giving the remaining lanterns to us makes sure we stop asking and asking..which I imagine for the devs is not fun... but saying that it is SUPER popular.. and we should have the last one for the set imho.

The 'pink' thing needs the player's choice, not the devs.

(also I don't think anyone brought this up.. i might be wrong @ thread.. but wearers can have more than one ring.. so it makes sense to me)"

then I answered:

"Erm, kindly. I dunno how you can debate with the idea of 'choice'.. put the player in control.

The mission referenced* is "Oa Under Siege".

I went away after your comment, and watched the Winter Seasonal Alert.. Larfleeze's power is Light, like Sinestro Corps and Green Lantern Corps. (Avarice) Lex Luthor and Captain Cold I did not see them use any other powers other than the ones they have normally, in videos or in game.

Seems the developers have already made Larfleeze Hard Light.

*(had time to look it up now)"

Well I was just thinking.. why not give Hard Light Villains an Orange to Yellow gradient also. makes sense.

Larfleeze is already Hard Light, and the nature of his power is in controlling, greed. Controller class.

peace out :)

SigmaAtom

Healer:

Hero:
Blue to Purple to Pink gradiated.

Villain :
Purple to Pink  gradiated

Controller:

Villain:
Orange to Yellow  gradiated.

Edit: hmm I'd like to expand this EVEN further!

Tank:

Villain:
Black to Red gradiated.

Controller:

Hero:

Green to White gradiated.

Update: I now think it should be a colour picker in the style menu of the individual lantern corps and not graduated. why?

Because the constructs need to match the ring colour. and it's much more practical anyway. clearer and easier to use in conjunction with the 'ring cooldown' see below.

Update 29/July/2016

On the subject of Star Sapphires..and if they are hero or villain, they are both, Carol Ferris is a hero.. and The Predator is a villain.. a being who encases other beings in crystal with a view to brainwash them using a ring to continue the influence over them into mindless drones. Predator = villain so yeh.. There could be a SS villain healer.

Actually it's quite a dynamic between Carol Ferris and the Predator.. the Predator's number #1 lantern is a hero. This is smart, as even as Carol will not always obey.. she can inspire love easily.

Indigo Tribe.. is undoubtedly a hero faction but saying that; the ring is parasitic.. which means if some broke the rings control and took control over the ring.. there could be two sides. I know they are hero.. but in saying that.. that's not true either.. they are neutral. They work with Sinestro corps Red Lantern Corps, Green Lantern Corps & Blue Lantern Corps; and see no difference between them.

During the power, the blast targeted allies and enemies, and after the above move, the Star Sapphires had a defence buff, meaning it could be an opposite to Lightblast in Controller stance. And be a Healer defence buff.

Another variant is called 'Passionate Embrace', with wavy lines instead of straight.

See Pictures:

There is also a unique variant of 'Handclap' which has two sets of hands.
In the video the name of the power is 'Hand Clap'.

See picture:

One set hands claps the first target and the second the next closest.

Carol has a variant of Azure Shockwave also, this is a power of Saint Walker (Blue Lantern). In the Video the name of the power is 'Absolute Devotion'.

See Picture:

She also has a unique variation of Temperance/Lantern Ward, which has Star Sapphire insignia's searching the ground.

See Pictures:

On second thoughts this *may* be a separate move.

The Pictures are in the wrong order as it was another SS that cast the second one.

Another power may be the Star Sapphire equivalent to Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps 'Ram'. It Corkscrews through the ground towards enemies.

I did not observe these were infinite combo's like GL/YL, however even the mobs with GL/YL rings do not perform infinite combos. Much is unknown, but given that GL/YL/RL are precs based, it would follow that the other lanterns are too, including the Star Sapphires.

Saint Walker (First Blue Lantern)

Walker already has a legends character, I used :  this :  video by Kreese2007 to find out his moves. thanks to him.

Salvo of Adara, is a very loose variant of 'Ram' with a few improvements for DPS. The shot is 5 fold and becomes wider the further out your are.

Munk seems to have a non-supercharge variation of the blue lantern 'Hope'.

The move can be seen :  here : in Balkan's video @ 8:44
Which Indigo-1 has also in Corrupted Zamaron duo.

Ever been in a raid.. and the healer prefers to spectate rather than participate? yeah, that's Indigo-1.

I am of course joking. I have been in that duo many times and she has helped. however after researching a few YT vids.. and her just standing watching during a boss fight, i thought it was funny.

Indigo-1 has a second variation of 'Hope', this time it blasts a huge circle of blue light from the epicenter.

can be seen in ApoSenseii's vid @ 7:30/31 .. look : here : and use YT slow-mo. :)

I will try to find the names (and pictures) for these, might be tough though.

Kyle Rayner

Having both a Green and Blue ring limits our knowledge of available Healer class lantern Heal/DPS abilities. but here are his powers.

While Construct Pencil is green, it could be retconned into DPS equivalent/variant of 'Entrap' if a book was added to snap close on the enemies. Variants could be : Construct Rose; entrap enemies of Love in light construct heart shaped chocolate boxes and let them know the pain they cause with a single construct rose. Construct Rubber Baton; entrap enemies of compassion within light construct rubber balls and make them feel the pain they cause with a construct rubber baton.

"Inspired Blast" is a variant of "Azure Shockwave" and the seemingly devastating "Absolute Devotion".

FWIW, Lantern Ward is my preference for the Lantern AOE Damage-out heal. With a 'Pull' instead of 'Push' effect, for making a 'Tank Mat'.. (the healer lays down the mat and Tank stands on the mat pulling mobs toward the center, while the group, gets damage based healing, players do not need to be in the AOE but mobs do)

Mind Over Matter, is a construct shield, I could easily see this being you + 3 group members, much like the other healers. Imho should time based, and damage in + power in.

Conflagrate is a power very unique to Kyle, I would think it like, Amon Sur's Yellow Lantern pet. Only he can do that.

A 'Inspired Blast' variant imho, should be the HoT and a variation of 'Recharge' for priority heal.

Already we have 12 17 of the 24 powers. 2 trees of 12 powers, I would suggest that they are called 'Peace' (healer) and 'War' (DPS)

Violet Light Blast
Passionate Embrace
Hand Clap
Absolute Devotion/Inspired Blast/Azure Shockwave
Temperance/Lantern Ward
? Insignia
? Corkscrew
Salvo of Adara
Mind Over Matter
Recharge (Rejuvenate)
Hope Indigo Variant 1
Hope Indigo Variant 2 Supercharge

Fan and Spikequake are part of the Star Sapphire powerset.

Update: Found a CC from Star Sapphire called 'Dust Cloud' very powerful CC. would make excellent attack buff. Also they *seem* to have 'standard' Lightblast, the same one as the GL/YL's. If so, they have 2 Lightblast variants and the original. There is also 'Construct Grenade' adding one more power.

Another 12 7 could be taken variants of GL/YL.. or even RL. For example a variant of 'Infuriate' for group healing supercharge. The Star Sapphires seem to have a variant of RL 'Dreadful Blast' but it was very difficult to see in the video. Update: this seems to be simply their 'range' attack and not anything special. However, a cloned variant of Dreadful Blast (Hopeful Blast/Passionate Blast/ Empathy Blast) would suit as a good DPS power. non-infinite combo.

A variant of 'Violence', could be used as a priority heal.

A variant of 'Snaptrap' with two huge pillows, balanced for *very* strong CC and not strong damage.

I'd like to see a 100% SC variant of 'Triage' as a raid heal; you + 7, time based.

Re-list:

Violet Light Blast
Passionate Embrace
Hand Clap
Absolute Devotion/Inspired Blast/Azure Shockwave

Whats missing? 3 Supercharge abilities, 4 Powers. Description; definition of which powers do what.

I'd like to see the Healer Lantern have infinite combos like GL/YL. I think that would be cool.

I would like to make a healer lantern whom I could switch rings at will, but that leaves us with the caveat that only females are allowed to be Star Sapphires.. which suits me fine. I have a female nature healer I would much prefer to be a Lantern and I would buy a extra char slot to make a male Blue Lantern, with both being able to switch to Indigo Tribe.

A 'ring cooldown' like an armory cooldown could be implemented to give time for the servers to load each blue/violet/indigo variant. this also sticks with lore, as removing your ring (for the other corps except GL and YL) is said be very 'draining'.
