I actually have it all planned out in my head :D.. erm.. if anyone wants a read.. then read on. if not TL : DR :)

Zod invades Metropolis

Duo
Ursa was spotted at Stryker's Island, and we are enlisted to investigate, outside we see charring of the building, and loads of dead mobs. the place has an eerie stillness/silence.

We enter Stryker's and follow the trail of destruction, inside the 'Doll Room' are many Kryptonian Guardsmen lead by Jax-Ur. He commands that the duo are vanquished, a fight ensues, and only when the duo win does he take part. Jax-Ur is smart, and in this story is Zod's chief scientist*, he uses both kryptonian technology and abilities against the duo, but after a hard fought battle, he was no match for the duo.

Further in to Strykers, the duo come across Ursa, she is with Grodd telling him that 'Zod has a plan', suprised by the duo she and Grodd attack. Once fought, Ursa and Grodd teleport away, as the duo barely escape with their lives, as Ursa has been on earth long enough to absorb much yellow sunlight, and her power shows this.

We receive a communication that Ursa, Grodd and Non have attacked Oa, and are trying to 'break IN to?!?' as Guy Gardner puts it, the Oan Science cells. We arrive and the ceiling has been ripped off and a stasis field put over the cells, many Lanterns of differing corps are trying to escape through the hole in the ensuing chaos, including Krona who instantly attacks the group and the corps follow his lead, after the fight, the stasis field destabilizes and a strong wind starts to move the group around and then suck them up into the Oan sky.

When above, the group sees what has been happening, Non has been fighting many GL's by creating whirlwinds and vacuums, and even though there must be around 40 GL's.. Non is winning. The GL's see the group and recognize they are powerful, if any of the group need it, a GL imbues them with the power of flight. After fighting Non, the group can see inside the cell chamber that Ursa, Grodd and someone else is making their escape, the group return to the chamber to foil whatever this 'plan' of Zod's is. The groups fight with the exception of the mysterious person, who is shrouded, halfway through Non recovers and joins the fight, the group win but barely, 'Ursa shouts at Non: Leave him! he has done his task.' And .. as the group arrests Grodd... he gently laughs.

Raid

Zod has decimated Centennial Park .. The Superman statue lays sadly on its side diagonally heat-visioned in two. The surrounding buildings have scorch marks on them, the team are joined by Superman, Supergirl, Powergirl, Superboy, Bizarro, Alura, Mon-El*, Martian Manhunter, giving us two sets of raid parties.

Zod has around 40 Kryptonian Guardsmen*.. everyone of them with a NAME. No red shirts here. This is Zod's Elite Guardsmen (and women, relax it's just a saying).

Zod shouts 'Kalel your experiment of kindness to these humans has failed, I have asked you many times to join me but still you resist, when will you take your rightful place as a prince of our people? never, as you love the animals, and champion them even in their filth* and idolatry'.. Superman answers ' I do believe in their right to *choose* who they are.. and I accept that I have not always shamed them for looking up to me, they needed a hero as every child does'..Zod replied..' you speak of choice and of children, but YOU are the one whom locked MY OWN SON away from ME and his mother! You speak like the animals! no thought, only emotion!' Superman is shocked, as he realizes what Zod and Ursa have done..

The whole scene explodes in battle.. Zod Ursa Non Jax-Ur, Zod's Elite Guardsmen.. and Lor-Zod!

The battle is furiously fought, Lor-Zod is MUCH more powerful than his parents*, Superman begs 'please..don't do this Lor!' .. but Lor answers ' You're quoting me when you send me away?? I begged you! hahah'

..when the battle is near fought,  .. there was an important reason Bizarro was on the team, aside from being friends with Supes, Biz is immune to the full effects of Green Kryptonite, as is MM and Mon-El, Bizarro pulls out a huge chunk and flies at Lor-Zod and makes him eat it, while MM and Mon-El hold him down. With Zod's team exhausted they flee..

We have a scene.. Power Girl turns to Mon-El and says 'hey handsome!" Supergirl answers 'hey hands off!' Power Girl says 'I got enough kisses for everyone, relax.' then she blows a kiss at Supergirl. while Superboy says 'This is great, we're hardly ever together like this.. like a family.' Superman and Alura chuckle..

*In many stories Jax-Ur is like Zod, I would suggest he pretends to be Zod to further Zod's cause, a body double where people are not sure what the original looks like. He just tells them he's Zod and they believe him. He is a capable fighter like Zod even though he is a scientist, and I would suggest him as a member of Non's original team on Krypton. Note, Non has been driven mad by both the Phantom Zone, and the Kryptonian Councils betrayal of him and Jorel, their betrayal meant billions of lives perished on Krypton, as Non and Jorel were the only two to tell the people the truth of Krypton's imminent destruction. Ursa was the next to find out when she interrogated Non and Jorel, many Kryptonians believing the Council's lies for a long time, she took the proof of Non and Jorel's discovery to Zod, which in turn led to a revolt on Krypton. Billions of lives could have been saved if the Council had approved Non and Jorel's plan for evacuation of Krypton, however even knowing the truth, they refused to sacrifice their technology, status and life-style.. A very flippant reason.. it was politically unsustainable, that if they led the evacuation of Krypton the remaining Kryptonians would have banished them to the Phantom Zone for losing Krypton in the first place.

*(Supergirl's Daxamite BF)
In DCUO I would make Daxamites the Healer equivalent to Kryptonian Tanks. both powersets the same Fire but balanced differently.
Superman = Tank/Everyone specifically not listed = DPS/Mon-El = Healer/Martian Manhunter = Controller. Krypto is guarding FOS. OR make him Iconic, a legends style Kryptonian with a pet of Krypto.
NPC's have proper health and defence, save knockouts and fully act like human group members.

*Zod also has a 'raid' party of 5 members but no proper healer or controller, a Tank who can also DPS while in Tank stance; Lor-Zod and the rest are DPS.. Lor-Zod =Tank / Zod = DPS / Ursa = DPS /  Non = DPS /  Jax-Ur = DPS except he uses supply drops for his raid parties support so Jax-Ur = DPS/Tech Support

* Filth = Krypton has a 'caste system' you are born into your job, it is assigned by your lineage. Zod believes in the system absolutely, and the thought of 'breeding for choice' disgusts him.
While Krypton has no 'monarchy' per se, of old both Daxam and Krypton did, Krypton changing to the caste system, but in this, there was still a council of Kryptonians who were held absolute in judgement, Jorel was one of those council members. the house of EL has many facets, and was the original house of Royalty, as it was on both Daxam and Krypton, this is why Mon-EL is a prince of Daxam. Even though Krypton has 'done away with' the royalty aspect of governance, it is still very present in the minds of Kryptonians, that should a member of the house of EL be of high prestige, he or she is STILL treated as royalty.

* He grew up on earth, Clark and Lois adopted him for a short time (4 years) but when he was 15yrs old he killed a fellow student in a moment of anger, Clark became afraid that he would get angry, snap and kill Lois, it was a cowardly move to send him to the Lanterns but he knew how powerful Lor-Zod was becoming, and its not like there are many places he could send him. sending him to the Phantom Zone would only reinforce Zod's control over Lor-Zod.
