Firstly; Disclaimer: let's get this straight, the following is going to contain massive errors, mis-remembered events, emotionally recoloured events, and all sorts of jiggery-pokery. You have been warned!

Firstly, we must travel back before ORS, to give a complete picture.
I bought the 'Fight For The Light' DLC 3 weeks after Free To Play on PC, The movie was popular at the time, having been released only that summer 2011. I made SigmaAtom, and begun my adventure. It was hard work to even progress one level, players who didn't play at launch don't remember that, no higher content or high cr players to help.. making it to level 10 was a huge achievement.

The Battle of The Superman Statue 2012
Mxyzptlk's Mischief's seasonal event had been launched super early in 2012, no idea why. The low level players inc myself, were trying to do the event.. all seemed well, until we hit the Superman Statue in Centennial Park. Out of what seemed like nowhere! villains kept attacking and killing us.. this went on for 45 minutes. high level villains wiping us low level heroes out. Well.. back then... I had never spoken to anyone in-game, even after months of off and on playing.I got mad.. and started talking in [Shout] "High Level Villains killing low level Heroes".. I kept this up for an hour at first, then a few level 25+ heroes came.. we landed together on top of the Lexcorp Bank, using [say] we just hangout and talked about the situation.. we had around 12 players including lower levels to fight, we tried an assault but failed..I shouted for another 2 hours; I never gave up*.. then the cavalry came! we had around 30 Heroes strong, some T1 and some T2.. I arranged we landed on top of Ellsworth Memorial Hospital roof.. standing around.. one female char pm'd me.. i didn't know how to pm back, so I 'made do'. She was being kind to me.. and tbh kinda flirtatious*. haha (We will call her M). M and her friend L were near level cap like lvl27 or such, M was Nature att.. and disguised herself as a nature dog and went down to the statue in stealth .. by that time a huge crowd of villains had appeared.. she came back laughing.. L asked 'didn't they see you?' to which she replied 'no hahah' and 'I was right next to them :) '. by now we had grown to over 30 heroes.. as word had spread.. we tried another assault.. but failed. It had went better this time though and we had enough courage to try again almost straight away, I tried to stay next to M and help her whichever way I could* .. M was doing the healing but also fighting, I was actually surviving, at one point M got knocked out, I popped my shield and saved her, popping a second shield on revive. We smashed them! I went and got my seasonal marker and we went back to Ellsworth roof, next to the brother blood instance.. M said 'shameless plug.. but are any of you guys looking for a league?'..
Kryptoniansnipers was the league, and M was League Boss and L was First Officer. From what I gathered later KS had been started sometime around November/December 2011. There were around 10 to 15 members when I joined. I was level 14.
L started to teach me about the game.. I had no idea what PVP was or PVE, to upgrade my gear, no idea about anything really. after some time went by, which seemed like.. hehe.. weeks but was i guess only one week, I asked L if there was anything I could do to help..slowly we started to form into a group of regulars and friends. by the second week, I was 'inner circle'.. let me explain, M did not use the ranking system for staff, if you asked for a task you probably got it. I started coming online everyday at 4pm, one of the other 'inner circle'.. which from now on i'll refer to as 'staff' as that was what it was.. just none of us realized, K came online at the same time, he would always challenge me to duels, and tell me stories about 'Aldencek'.. I wasn't much of PVPer, would play legends with L, but not much in arenas, some, but not much. Alden was a VERY strong player, and I would always see L asking him to PVP with him. within our little community.. yes we had grown to 20 to 30, Alden was our PVP 'capt'.. he'd get much league chat asking him to come and PVP with them.. 2, 3, 4, offers of PVP each time he spoke on League chat.
I had suggested to M I was like Geordi LaForge, who captained the Enterprise at night when everyone was sleeping.. the graveyard shift.. I looked after the league in unsociable hours.She found it funny and liked the idea. I was also doing my duties leveling players, and working out strategies for leveling quicker so we could all raid at the same level/cr. I was level 25!! so happy.. L was preparing me for my level cap, teaching me all the things I would need to know once I hit 30.. I had been much slower than the other staff, this was becuase I was in controller stance all the time. seems silly now knowing what I know, however back then, people were unsure what each role was.. not so much L, but i don't remember if I was stubborn and he was polite.
I would level other players until around 8 or 9-ish and M and L would inv me to play and level with them, other staff too. We had been together for two months, seemed like forever. K was.. jealous, and would say mean things to me in the hour we were alone before everyone would come online.. I would have duties, and he would ninja me to group, and I would try to be polite. The day I hit level cap, I had not finished all the missions, which was common at that time, as the structure was different than what it is now..he was.. well its better left forgotten. We sorted it out four months or so later, in a *very* short but *nice*, facebook message. but before then there was a bit of tension. In real life.. I had began to notice my age.. that I didn't have children yet.. and tried some internet dating.. it was disastrous! this Blog is not for that, but I mention it as.. I stupidly left without saying anything. I now see what a grievous error that was.But I was just some dude helping in my mind.. i didn't know, I know now.
I left for two months..I had only really played single player games; so the idea that the people on the other side of the screen needed me or wanted me, was alien to me. I came back, expecting M to have kicked me, but there I was.. I pm'd her asking what was going on and saying sorry for being away so long and thanking her for not kicking me. She was gracious as ever.. she welcomed me back (in pm), but told me we had a problem. L had gone on holiday, and before and while that was going on, a new guy, some Batman themed name, had offered to help, he suggested to M that she should open the invite to league to everyone, including non-staff..M was unable to cope with no staff.. Alden had left a month before, or at least dormant,M was swamped with 50 60.. doubling everyday.. by the end it was around 200 members iirc and no staff.. no logs. * M defended him at first but I suggested she shouldn't be so trusting.. and right enough he was using a tactic to break apart KS, and siphon the members for himself. Poaching in it's worst form. Like I said, by the end barely anyone would log, including M. She put me in charge.. first thing I did (ooohw! *i had day dreamed for months about fixing the ranking system*) lock the league down. no new invites unless by me.... I saw the list and started contacting the inner circle, leaving them messages, even out-of-game on fb wherever I could get a hold of them... and luckily enough one day Alden logged and I PM'd him.. he replied' just a minute i'm in a legends match :D'*
The Founding of 'Order Of The Red Sun'.
Alden and I founded ORS on the principles M and L had taught us.
M = Caring (motherly love)
L = Wisdom ( understanding perspectives, acceptance)
We began recruiting.. and even had L's blessing. actually he came and helped us for the first year, of which we were very grateful.
ORS is named that way for a few reasons.. in KS we had our own facebook, and I had posted a pic of me hanging around the T3 room with the caption 'I can dream :}'.. it was liked by our little community, it was the max cr gear at the time.or as far as i knew. .. hmm I rem the pic of all the staff in the banner too.. much feelz much pridez. hehe
We were a child league of Kryptoniansnipers, the Kryptonian part, being dear to us. Many leagues name themselves after the DLC, that was current when they formed, it shows their age; The T3 Kryptonian gear was the max cr during our time in KS and as far as I knew at the time; the max cr when ORS formed.
After a while we met Barbaa, he became ORS's first 'Tactical Officer' third in charge of the league. Barbaa was and is a friendly happy guy. Argentinian, Alden; Bosnian, myself; Scottish. somehow we made things happen, even if only a little, things moved forward.
I remember early on, me and barbaa were in PVP exo/collection/briefing collecting and we were attacked by three villians.. well a healer and troller not doing so good against 3 higher level DPS's.. we were 20 to 30 mins inside the bubble, step outside and BAM dead!.. then Alden come on. 'BB' barbaa's nickname said 'help us Dx'.. I said' we're trapped by three villains in Gotham'.. he said 'i'm coming :D' .. well you want to see what happened! Alden to the rescue, he smashed all three of them (no PVP gear), they thought it was a fluke.. THEY WERE WRONG.. he smashed them again.. one tried to get away but he chased him!.. third time.. (this had been 40 mins all in).. 2 of the guys came back but one chickened out after the first hit, and Alden smashed the one guy.. then but let the second guy get away. I said to him 'aren't we going to get the last guys' he said 'no, it's fine'.
For the next few weeks we were recruiting as best we could, including recruiting friends of Barbaa and Alden..soon Lightray and Amiraga became our first ever junior staff.
But this did not work out so well.. it was my first time training staff to be Officers, and I was a little forceful with them.. which I had also been with members. I teach the staff of ORS now.. my courtesy is not the weakness that I cannot make a decision, I do not need their permission, I want to know what they want from a situation. But back then.. I had no clue!! I didn't know how to handle staff .. didn't have a real clue what morale was..about 2 to 3 months after the forming of ORS Alden's PC kinda blew up, due to overheating. Barbaa and myself kept going, keeping in contact with Alden via FB.We kept going until just before Christmas (Nov).. which I had a break for a bit and came back in January, but Barbaa had winter exams and could not return. Attendance had slowed due to Alden's absence. I was the only one left. I removed everyone in february 2013. I was hardly logging myself.
Only a few times not more than 4, in those 2 years.
My fiancee and I had been watching The Green Lantern Animated Series.. WOW what a show! recommended! .. we had been watching it on Netflix.. we had totally gotten our heads into it.. and I mentioned 'I used to be a green lantern in DCUO'..she was like 'Really? what's DCUO is that a game?'.. then she said.. 'I wanna see' .. we turned the cam round so she could see the screen, I DL'd DCUO*..and fired up the game!
There was everything.. just as i had left it.
She said 'that's enough now'* I said.. 'Don't be cheeky to me and no.. i might start playing again.'
I returned a month later with much hope. Dec. 2014.
I returned..played for a month getting used to the new content and new systems.. of which I failed to understand 99% of it. But I liked that (in membership) I now had a proper lair.
I did the Winter Seasonal for the first time, but don't remember much of it as I was alone a lot. I would run the content and talk to people, but not really make friends, or recruit.
At the start of February I met S.. S had a league. I was standing around broker and he pm'd me saying hi.. we started chatting. He was looking to recruit, my CR was 94* which was much higher than S who was at 72. iirc max cr at the time was 108.
He asked if id' join I had told him about being league staff before, and wish to do that again. He didn't really understand what I meant by Drill. Sgt. But was kind enough to make a rank just for me.
I met FeartheFears in that league.. on my birthday I gave him an expensive in-game item, which he was really grateful for, and finding out it was my birthday.. he offered to get me some replys with real money.. i was shocked, skeptical and pleasantly surprised. He said he'd give me it on Monday when he had cash.
I stayed my excitement to see what he would actually do.I was not disappointed. This return and doing what he said he would do made me trust Fears.
a week or two later *something* happened in that league.. and I just *had* to leave. Fears logged as I was leaving.. I added him to my FL and left.
I messaged him about leaving.. and he logged off. he came back after 10 minutes and wanted to meet up. We met on top of Stagg Industries building in Gotham* I told him everything that happened.. told him old stories of KS and ORS.
By the end of the stories he confessed he was going to leave that league anyway. But this had helped him. I said to him 'I wish we could start my old league back up' he said to me 'I was just thinking that..'
The Second Iteration of ORS
March 14th 2015.
We started just Fears and I.. we had no league hall. Fears was and is a great recruiter.. I'd log in every day and almost always he had met new people and recruited them. We started building up in the first week and I came up with the Induction. At the time..oofft.. on PC server big leagues were ninja inviting people..just random non leaguers going about their day. I found this offensive. and you should *want* to be in the league you're in.. or what's the point of coming back? where is the community?
The next week, we met RAGEner.. who I am glad to say has returned to ORS in the last few weeks as a legacy. We saw he had potential to be staff.. and he was willing. I did my best to train him as an Officer.. if anyone here knows RAGE.. he's a bit of a impatient guy :)) .. but he believes in ORS, It's principals; what it stands for. even today. much feelz RAGE!
Soon after.. we met Kaya.. wow what a PVPer!! Kaya gladly became our Second PVP capt.. but also our Tactical Officer. Fears and I were blown away by Kaya's loyalty, level headedness and skills as a PVP player*.
With Fears, Kaya, Rage and myself.. we were growing stronger and stronger. We had many recruits and members, so much so we needed more staff, as it is with the way of things.
We met Bas.. and Bas slowly became a very fine Officer.
We had members so I thought it best to ask around for staff volunteers. I talked to a regular member.. we'll call her 'V' V was easy to talk to.. and she had a quality i saw in her.. potential to be an Officer.
Her BF was also in the league from RL. We talked it out in group and she agreed and we began her training.
1 week later.. Fears met a group of 4 people in a raid.. they were friends IRL and played online together regularly in various games.They were interested in joining.. I grouped with them and gave them the induction. One of them had told me he had been a league boss before.. this peaked my interest as he had league staff experience, and so would be easy to train for ORS. We'll call him 'D'.
D lived up to my expectations and became a fine Officer.
We were happy.. a group of friends. 2 months of good morale as you may know if you are league staff.. is something, special; impossible. hehe. unlikely.
But we had it.
Then at the end of May.. we had a problem.
"So we had this cr/ high SP guy join.. we'll call him T.. T had been playing with us off and on for around 5 days by the weekend he wanted to join.. well T had many many alts. all high SP and high CR.. we would be playing and need a role and he'd say 'wait ill just jump on an alt!'.. everytime he did this.. the staff would see his other league banner.. and I could *feel* the sigh of sadness within the staff morale. ..after a few days he was cheeky and griefed on me in duo.. but that stories still to come in the history of ORS."
He tried to topple me with griefing and I wouldn't have it.
There is a story in the Officer Training Article about how I exploded on a young german guy for being cheeky to me. Well.. I had learnt my lesson not to explode in anger. I contacted V via steam chat. asked her to handle the situation, as to remove myself from it. 3 hours we tried mediating with him. he refused to apologize.. as you can see we tried to make it a peaceful thing. but he just refused.. and kept saying.. 'tell Bas..he will always be my best healer and etc..' after three hours he left without me kicking him.
I had been playing all night.. it was very early in the morning and I was very very tired. I said to V 'please let the other guys know what happened with Te'.. which apparently she did.
When I woke up it was Tuesday.. my night off from the league and my night to hang out with my brother. Half way through the night .. Fears messages me saying they have all left..I come in and the group of 4 have left. I was unsure what to make of this.. and my brother was pressuring me to come out becuase this was our one night a week.. his night off.I told Fears to 'do damage control'.. meaning save the league morale so we don't have a rats = sinking ship situation.I logged out.. and 30 mins later V contacts me on skype chat.. I try to be like my mentor and be understanding..but this draws out and draws out into a 3 hour conversation. I say to her if you want to leave then yes thats OK. She was angry becuase she couldn't understand what happened.
What happened was.. one member of the group who were from Cyrpus ( american but background cyprian .. we'll call her T ).. one of the Cyprians the female one, had decided she was unhappy with the rules of ORS and with a 'who do you think you are' attitude to me decided to break up our little family. V knew nothing of this..Im sure they not only laughed at me and the rest of the staff behind our backs, but V and her BF also..no matter what they said to their faces. After a month or so of having their own league.. and me trying to be peaceful with them. They realized what a good deal ORS was.. and they missed us and hated us. So did what they could to destroy us.
I would guess D wasn't too into it. he always seemed like a sensible guy. he even PM'd me apologizing for T's actions, and saying that he was locked in becuase they were friends in real life.
HT the BF of T.. came at me with strong words, I could tell he was emotional. But no longer was that my responsibility. He started goading me.. you'd think he would stear clear of me but no.. so I said to him 'So.. couldn't make it my league so had to make your own league eh?' ..this stung him a lot. as he was not offered a staff post. His name was a strange porno name.. I nearly didn't recruit them because of this... he replied with a racist remark 'at least I'm not a pedo'.. i was shocked.. I said to him 'what do you mean by that?'..he simply answer 'you know.'.. I replied.. 'coz ruthie's asian??'.. answer 'hahaha'.. then I said 'i'm a big lad.. I travel the world.. better hope I don't travel to Cyprus'
Racists piece of trash!!!!!!
This is sadly not the end.. for the next ? months.. they 'revenge joined' .. getting into league then.. who knows what they were doing while I was offline or even online.They rest of the staff had exams and while one or two staff were there to help me.. the pressure of keeping morale going was just too huge!.. I couldn't handle it and I cracked.. they destroyed ORS 4 times..hundreds of hours of joint hard work lost.
I mothballed ORS with my healer. we now had a league hall..which the cyprians would say was their hard work.. but that's nonsense.. as their prestige was very low.. it was actually Kaya who had donated more prestige winning in PVP to the league than all 4 combined.
So Sigma was leagueless.. felt both good and bad at the same time. The empty chat when I logged felt bad.. the freedom of no work felt good!
Kaya contacted me on steam saying she'd/he'd like to reform ORS again.. I contacted Fears and Bas. Fears was interested but too busy but said if i had Kaya on board he'd be willing. Bas did not reply.
It had been a tumultuous time for us, and I don't' blame him. I told Kaya I had started ORS going again.. she said she wanted us on the US server.. this whole thing was full of crossed line of communication between Kaya and myself.. so i'll skip to the end; Kaya was respectful and appreciative. I got the mentor vibe from him.. which was truly an honor. we left it there.
For the next month.. only I and my alts we're in the league.. we had the ORS US Outreach Program, still in place, and Nexo was still watching over this idea. The program is for Officers who wish to have a US alt that they don't have to do all the work alone.
A dear friend returned to DCUO after 6 months absence.. Beatrix. Bea was and is a bit of a celeb in DCUO EU PC server. Bea knows *everyone* and is famous for her morning WT trolling.. making everyone laugh. I ofc couldn't condone this... the guy hopefully known for community strength and teaching the value of morale.. but quietly id laugh to myself. ( well she was famous for it but stopped.. and this is part of her story).
We grouped up.. and I told Bea everything that happened.. he was sympathetic understanding and angry. He said to me 'I know how important it was to you' meaning the league work. I said to him.. 'but that's not really it.. its that im.. alone'..I said to him 'would you do it?' he said 'forget those guys they are idiots'.. I said' I don't know how I ever can be staff again, if they rip down everything i build'.. then I had an idea..
The Third Iteration of ORS
In my explanation of the idea to Bea.. Bea would be like an attack dog, and tear down the cyprians should they return. Everyone in EUPC had seen her tear people to shreds verbally, without any effort.. imagine what she could do if she was *actually* trying!
To Bea.. I hope you read this.. I can never thank you enough for giving me the confidence to return! thank you.. you're a real and true friend! I cannot repay you!
We continued; Bea recruited and I trained staff.
We met Sammy and he became our TO and PVP Capt. amazing guy, still chats to me on skype every so often, rarely but still.
Bea and I had a disagreement and Bea left ORS but we remained friends.
What happened in ORS? .. I had trained some staff and we had Riisky and couple of new staff, we regularly won in Star Labs PVP hehe :)
We had a traitor, who jumped ship without a word, he was an Officer in ORS, but now a traitor.
Horakti had taken over from Vet to FO, and I will say while, I do not feel I did totally right by him, his engament with members was short for a FO, he did much to his credit, do all his shifts, earned a HUGE amount of prestige for ORS and never turned on me, and in this he was great! Thank you Horakti!
which leads us to the Fourth Iteration of ORS.
The Fourth Iteration of ORS
da2 had just became an Officer and Sammy was retiring, after a while (4 weeks April-May 2016 iirc) I asked da if he would like to train to be senior staff, Ione had taken over as TO from Sammy retiring.
Sammy sadly did retired and we were a little lost without him, but da filled that gap & I'm glad to say went on to make us very proud.
da took over as FO, Ione lapsed in duty for 2 months, but recruited an old friend, who went on to be a ORS Vet 'Jupiter Tonans', he was Former Boss of the Popular Vil. League 'Smoke Break' . He, da and I became firm friends.
Sadly for seemly no reason we lost Vukie, a long term ORS Vet. He was missed.
The new content of AFIII came out and I was pretty unhappy, and also had became fascinated with the idea of a Lantern Healer, as I pumped money into Time Capsules, the more I did, the unhappier I became with the game.
A person, whom's league I joined before the Second Iteration, contacted me, letting me know he had returned to the game. We had left things on an uneven keel last we had spoken in Feb 2015. He had exploded at a member, and with all my training and inspiration from L, I knew this was unacceptable, I had also spent a month alone working 10 hours a day, he had logged twice in those 4 weeks. Disgraceful behaviour.
We began a dialogue, including giving him officer training by me, he joined ORS with his main, while running his own league. He didn't finish the officer training, but he returned to his own league, I felt he had improved enough, and talked it over with him about returning to his own league, and we were both happy.
After a while, meeting his staff, we began to bond a bit more and it was discussed if we should join together. Ultimately he decided no, which I respected, and with nothing to do in game, I decided to retire until the next content would be released. I told Jup and Da they should find somewhere they could play and happy, and when I found out they had joined Freaks'n'Geeks, I was very content with their choice, as I am friends with Akbar Khan, and know him as a good person, who treats other people fairly (even if on *rare* occasion he has a temper hehe but otherwise totally chilled dude).
I spend the next 4 months building Justice League Elite, shoring up staff, educating them on morale and conduct, helping members when I could.
I logged in on my Celestial and had been struggling with the DPS side and one of the staff was a Celestial DPS and a good one, so I asked for tips and a lesson. While I was getting my lesson on Celestial DPS, the Boss Pm'd me saying one of his staff wanted Senior staff training, I told him I wouldn't do it as the person was too young at 12/13yo and I didn't want to 'jade' him with adult politics. Besides da was there to help and the boss had just made da, not 4 hours earlier FO, he already had a TO whose job does not contain politics. After some time (20 mins) he started at me in Staff Voice Chat in front of everyone, which I had warned him against while doing his training, take it private, whatever you do take it private.
Telling me 'how dare you disobey me!' then 'get out of my league!'
I would have NEVER spoken to L that way! I was meant to be there in a mentor role.
Shameful behaviour!
So I left.
Not one hour later, I pm'd Khan and asked to join FnG with a trifecta.
I joined on my QDPS my Fire and Nature.
Da eventually left FnG as his friend who had left FnG was in JLE too.
I spoke to da recently, it was good to catch up.
I have been in FnG at the time of writing around 3 weeks to a month, and I think the guys are funny and make me laugh, I like them. Hang out with jup often too.
I have been upfront with Khan, letting him know that I start ORS when the new content comes out, but won't remove my FnG chars, as that would be shameful to do that to them.
understandably this is a long process to include all these stories. I will be back to edit and update.
* I never gave up.. but had decided that was my last night in DCUO before logging on.. events took a different turn. hehe
*this is where I learned my SigmaAtom costume was sexy.. I get attention from girls from time to time.
* I teach that the Controller is the Healers bodyguard.. THIS^ is where the nucleus of that idea came from, protecting M, who would become my league boss! I may have been the first player to teach this,.. on EUPC.. or even in DCUO.
* I didn't understand that before.. about morale.. if one leaves or doesn't log for a long time.. more do the same.
*M and L dissolved the league 2 weeks later. I had managed to fix most of it.. but the hearts were already broken, and M had too much work for uni.
*actually the truth be told earlier like a month or two before.. I had an email saying to keep my char for the move over I needed to log, which I did. did a vault then left.
*She's Asian so that was being cheeky and she knew it.
* That's a guess but by the end of March I have a photo of it being 105 in troller stance.
*there's four to current recollection.2 in the north, 1 in the west. This was the one in Diamond District overlooking Gotham Uni and Robinson Park. update: I recently found out its the intergang penthouse building.

Addendum: 'Justice League Europe', (formally League of Nations) currently active. Is considered a partial child-league of ORS, due to the boss having been trained by me.
Update this relationship has since degraded.
After 4 months of helping during my retirement. The League Boss spoke to me disrespectfully and when I refused to 'obey' him, it was time to go. The new name of the league at time of writing is ' Justice League Elite'. I would have NEVER spoken to my mentor like he did to me. 4 months of work for nothing! wasted, because he had man-child tantrum.
